The Australian Transformation and Turnaround Association is the peak body for transformation professionals and transformational senior executives across business, government and not-for-profit sectors in Australia. With Chapters now in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the Association has been supporting the career development of its members and advancing the transformation profession since 2018.

Queensland organisations operating in business, government and not-for-profit sectors have all needed to reflect on what post-lock down might mean for them and their industries. For many, adapting to the market shifts caused by Corona virus containment and the lower growth conditions ahead will require significant change.

Commenting on the need for increased transformational leadership capabilities in Australia, the Associations’ Chairman Kyle Loades explained “As organisations shift away from the traditional annual strategic planning to more regular strategic reviews in response to the higher levels of uncertainty, there will be a corresponding shift in the volume of complex and transformational change required to implement revised strategies. Organisations with lower levels of transformation management maturity, will face challenges in executing their strategies and as a result may not adapt quickly enough to changing market structures and conditions”.

Following the launch of the Victorian Chapter last week and responding to the increased need for greater transformation management knowledge sharing and the need to support leaders in expanding their transformation advisory networks, the AusTTA brought forward the launch of the Queensland Chapter through the appointment of the Queensland State Chapter President Mr. Daryl Wright. Mr. Wright is Fellow of the Association and a recent graduate of Queensland University of Technology’s Leading Transformation & Complex Change course (a course endorsed by the Association). He is an internationally experienced Board member, Managing Director and an experienced transformation and turnaround consultant with diverse experience leading Corporate, SME and Not-for-Profit organisations in a variety of industries across the world.

Mr. Wright said he is passionate about the opportunity to help Queensland transformation professionals and transformational senior leaders connect, share challenges and learnings as they collaborate to increase success rates of transformations across the State. Mr. Wright is also excited about the opportunity help the Association start to build its Queensland presence initially in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. He commenced his role 1st July and invites anyone in Queensland who is interested in learning more about the Association or in becoming a member to connect with him directly.
